The only successful coup in USA

This true story sounds very real and similar to what just happened. Once again, the Democrats were defeated in Wilmington, NC in 1894. They plotted, sour grapes in heart. The Republicans held the seat.


Election day, Nov. 10, 1898. Democrats shut down entry to the city from blacks and Republicans... It’s important not to forget that this was a planned thing. This wasn’t two people getting in a fight in a street corner and sparking underlying racial tensions or something like that.

Six Confederate veterans from Pulaski, Tennessee created the original Ku Klux Klan on December 24, 1865, shortly after the Civil War.

Remember, the 1898 White Supremacy Campaign played host to many issues such as silver, education, debt and railroad regulation, but the platform upon which the Democrats oriented all of the issues was white supremacy.


In 1898 Wilmington was North Carolina’s biggest city, and many of its city government leaders and prominent businessmen were black. In the three decades since the end of the Civil War, black people had gained more freedom and financial stability.


A former Confederate officer and U.S. congressman named Alfred Waddell led the attack, with a band of armed rioters that eventually grew to about 2,000 men. This Democrat mob of white supremacists armed with rifles and pistols marched on City Hall in Wilmington, N.C., on Nov. 10 and overthrew the elected local government, forcing both black and white officials to resign and running many out of town.


They burned down local black-owned businesses, killed dozens of black people and forced many more to leave town and abandon their homes. They then took over city government, forcing out the white mayor and the mixed-race town council, and installing Waddell as the new mayor without a legitimate election. No one is sure how many African-Americans died that day, but some estimates say as many as 90 were killed.


No one was punished.  This is how Dems do things. If white, you were probably scared to oppose. If black, oh hell no.

Hopefully, the recent attempt that was led by Obama will deal out tough punishments.  The main force or person(s) behind the coup, tended to be hanged, drawn, and then quartered. We have more modest punishments today, usually prison, occasionally death, by various means, but not purposely pain inducing.
